Job summary

Fragomen is seeking a Business Immigration Associate in Palo Alto who will work with a smart, motivated team in an immigration-focused environment. The role requires being able to regularly work within the Pacific Time zone and contribute to a dynamic practice.

You will oversee case preparation, engage with clients, mentor junior staff, and develop strategies for complex matters. A U.S. JD or LLM and bar admission with 3–5 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• US JD or LLM required.
• Member of a US State bar or Washington DC bar association.
• 3-5 years of experience at Associate level.
• Exceptional working knowledge and understanding of immigration law.
• Prior team management experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Dedication to exceptional client service.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop an expert-level understanding of client base and services.
• Positioned as a senior member of the client team; oversee assignments with minimal supervision.
• Utilize legal precedents to address client situations and develop solutions.
• Research complex immigration issues and formulate solutions, including documentation.
• Independently execute case preparation and filing and develop strategies for complex matters.
• Articulate complex issues to diverse audiences.
• Build and maintain client relationships with key stakeholders.
