Fragomen is seeking a Business Immigration Associate in San Francisco to join a collaborative, client‑focused team. You will develop case strategies, counsel clients, and manage non‑immigrant and immigrant filings with experienced colleagues.

You must hold a U.S. JD or LLM, be admitted to a US state bar, and have 2–3 years of relevant Associate experience, with excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifikationen

• U.S. JD or LLM required.
• Member of a US State bar or Washington DC bar association.
• 2–3 years of experience at Associate level.
• Expanded practical understanding of immigration law.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and fluent prose; avoid AI for drafting.
• Dedication to exceptional client service.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.

Aufgaben

• Develop an expert-level understanding of client base and practice areas.
• Develop case strategies: researching, drafting, reviewing, counseling clients, initiating cases.
• Identify and solve escalations and underperformance.
• Communicate regularly with clients and foreign nationals about procedures and strategy.
• Support clients in program management and compliance.
• Assess eligibility for non-immigrant and immigrant visa status.
• Prepare petitions and applications with client teams for government submission.
• Draft and prepare letters and legal documents based on precedents.
• Conduct research to support client requests and projects.
• Proactively communicate with clients within SLAs and team protocols.
• Mentor junior Associates and staff; share immigration knowledge.
• Seek and implement process improvements for quality and efficiency.
• Follow firm standards and data entry protocols.
