Our growing national law firm client is seeking an Immigration Associate with 3–5 years of experience to join its Washington, D.C. office.
This is an excellent opportunity for an immigration attorney who wants to work directly with corporate clients, manage sophisticated employment-based immigration matters, and take on meaningful strategic responsibility within a collaborative national platform.
The associate will serve as a key point of contact for assigned clients and advise on a broad range of employment-based immigration matters.
Role Overview
The associate will manage and advise on employment-based immigration matters, including:
- H-1B petitions
- PERM labor certifications
- Adjustment of Status applications
- L-1 petitions
- TN applications
- Responses to Requests for Evidence
- Corporate immigration strategy and compliance
- Client status calls and immigration program reviews
- Case planning, timelines, and government filing requirements
Additional responsibilities may include:
- Serving as the primary legal and strategic point of contact for corporate clients
- Reviewing petitions and applications prepared by paralegals
- Drafting legal support letters and complex immigration filings
- Advising clients on case strategy and potential immigration risks
- Leading client meetings, status calls, and planning discussions
- Managing escalations and time-sensitive immigration matters
- Coordinating multiple active matters in a fast-paced environment
Candidate Profile
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- 3-5 years of business immigration experience
- Strong employment-based immigration background
- PERM experience required
- Experience with H-1Bs, I-140s, AOS, L-1s, and TNs
- Experience advising corporate clients directly
- Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong client communication and relationship-management skills
- Strong academic credentials
