Job summary

University of Alaska is seeking a simulation specialist to operate and maintain high-fidelity manikins and facilitate immersive learning experiences for students and the community. You will use VR goggles, run AV systems, and support ongoing simulation capabilities to connect learners with hands-on experiences.

The role requires collaborative teamwork, strong communication, and a willingness to learn medical terminology and new technologies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree related to technology, computer science, education, or related field; may require licensure/certification.
• Healthcare experience is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain high-fidelity manikins.
• Facilitate learning experiences with VR goggles.
• Operate AV technology and related simulation equipment.
• Assist with operations in the simulation center.
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills with computer software and hardware; willingness to learn continuously.
