Job summary

Marbles Kids Museum in downtown Raleigh, NC is seeking a Theater Host to welcome guests, provide information, pop popcorn, greet field trips, and assist with educational programs. The role centers on delivering exceptional guest service, communicating schedule details, and ensuring smooth operation of concessions and theatre components in a fast-paced, family-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• One year of customer service experience, particularly with families and young children (preferred).
• Theater and Retail experience is a plus.
• Experience with point-of-sale and inventory software (Shopify and Tessitura experience preferred).
• Ability to maintain a helpful, friendly, and playful demeanor in a busy environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to establish goals, set priorities, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete opening and closing duties.
• Provide an exceptional guest experience that is aligned with Marbles customer service procedures.
• Effectively communicate scheduling, equipment, inventory, and other operational issues with your manager.
• Prepare and serve beverages and concession offerings.
• Describe concessions, movies, and operational procedure details to customers.
• Receive and process customer payments.
• Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Cleans and sanitizes lobby, service stations, and seating areas.
• Ensures customer self-service stations are properly stocked. Stock supplies or retail products; may inventory, order, or receive products as directed.
• Ensure proper functioning of all food equipment by routinely checking temperatures in that equipment.
• Perform all other duties assigned by the manager.
