Job summary

Rapiscan, an OSI Systems, Inc. company, seeks a Systems Engineer with expertise in electronics, computing, and imaging systems, including integration, testing, troubleshooting, and support.

The role is on-site in Newtown, PA and involves cross‑functional collaboration with engineering, software, and operations teams to deploy innovative imaging solutions. Responsibilities include remote/field support, system testing, cybersecurity hardening, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, physics, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of systems engineering experience with hardware–software integration.
• Experience with system testing, troubleshooting, and validation.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity hardening; STIGs a plus.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and field technical support for system configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Support the development, integration, and validation of computer vision and imaging-based systems.
• Collaborate with R&D to design rapid prototypes and new features.
• Develop and execute end-to-end system tests to verify quality and performance.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation and revision control.
• Assist with transfer of designs from development to production.
• Contribute to project coordination and status updates.
• Support cybersecurity standards in deployed systems.
• Travel to customer sites as needed.
