Job summary

Rapiscan Systems, an OSI Systems, Inc. company, seeks a Field Service Engineer I to service Rapiscan equipment in the Chicagoland area. Travel may reach up to 75% domestically or internationally.

Responsibilities include on-site maintenance, reporting, and customer coordination, with potential overseas deployments. The candidate should have an A.S. in Electronic Technology or Engineering, a technical degree, and 3 years of field service experience, ideally in the x-ray industry.

Qualifications

• A.S. in Electronic Technology or Engineering with Mechanical Engineering experience.
• Technical degree or demonstrable mechanical ability and knowledge.
• 3 years experience in field service environment, X-ray industry highly desired.
• Networking hardware and software literacy.
• Database management and programming; software/firmware protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and maintenance for Rapiscan systems as directed by Field Service Managers.
• Follow Field Service contract requirements for response time, information reporting, and customer management.
• Communicate with customers during system visits to ensure work aligns with plan and objectives.
• Maintain and carry Field Service Tool Set; ensure proper documentation.
