Job summary

UPMC Passavant is seeking a clerical support associate for the Imaging Services Department at 9100 Babcock Blvd, Pittsburgh. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Typing and filing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with anatomical and medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephone with department greeting and identifies self.
• Verifies patient identity with at least two identifiers and prepares registration materials.
• Enters x-ray and echocardiogram orders and coordinates with physicians.
• Collects co-payments per policy and routes documents to the appropriate staff.
• Supports radiologists and cardiologists by providing reports and exam information as needed.
• Uses PACS/CVIS to retrieve and document exam data and film/CD handling.
