Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a staff support role within the imaging department to assist with transporting patients, patient preparation, and other nonclinical tasks. The role emphasizes accuracy in patient identity and adherence to department policies.

Responsibilities include post-procedural duties such as discharge, room cleanup, and inventory support, as well as data entry and handling imaging reports within the electronic medical record system, with HIPAA compliance at the forefront.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months' experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred: 1 year experience in medical office or imaging office setting.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from clinical areas and verifies patient identity according to policies and procedures. Assists technologists with preparing patients for procedures. (30%)
• Performs post-procedural duties including patient discharge, room clean up and restocking supplies. Assists with inventory control. (30%)
• Assists technologists with delivering and retrieving patient reports/imaging, entering data, in electronic medical records, import and export through appropriate means and methods. (20%)
• Provides nonclinical support to the department as necessary. (20%)
• Any other duties as assigned.
