Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking an Imaging Assistant to support Diagnostic Radiology. You will perform essential patient care, document information, and assist with imaging preparation, patient flow, and safety protocols across MRI/CT locations as needed.

Under supervision, you will ensure accurate data entry, maintain patient confidentiality, and deliver a high-quality patient experience while supporting imaging teams and daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred completion of a CNA program or patient care training.
• Current enrollment in an accredited Radiology program.
• coursework in medical terminology and computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients and assist with registration and information gathering.
• Prepare patients for imaging exams and assist with positioning and flow.
• Enter demographic and clinical data into IDX and PACS; maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain imaging rooms, stock supplies, and support department operations.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate with care teams.
