Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking an Imaging Assistant to support radiology services, patient screening, and clinical workflow across MRI/CT locations. The role emphasizes hands-on patient care, efficient operations, and continuous learning within a nationally recognized health system.

You will gain exposure to imaging modalities, work with Radiologic Technologists, and pursue a pathway toward becoming a licensed Imaging Technologist. Weekend nights and full-time schedule are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: Completion of a CNA program or patient care training.
• Current enrollment in an accredited Radiology program.
• Coursework in medical terminology and computer applications.
• One to two years of relevant patient care experience preferred; enrollment in Radiology program expected.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients: interviews, demographics, clinical info collection.
• Prepare patients and assist with imaging exams and procedures.
• Manage medical records and documentation in EMR/PACS; ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Coordinate patient flow and deliver strong customer service to patients and families.
• Maintain imaging rooms, supplies, and STARS for department operations.
• Engage in professional development and departmental initiatives.
• Support positive patient experience and care across imaging services.
