Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is hiring a PART-TIME Diagnostic Imaging Assistant to support MRI, CT, and other imaging services. Under supervision, you will assist with patient screening, preparation, and data entry, helping deliver efficient, patient-centered care across MRI locations as needed.

This role offers weekend night shifts, day-one benefits, and a $40,000 career advancement bonus if you advance to a licensed imaging technologist.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA, phlebotomy, EMT or healthcare training preferred.
• Enrollment in a Radiology program preferred.
• Must obtain BLS/CPR within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients and support registration processes.
• Prepare patients for imaging exams and assist with positioning.
• Gather specimens, take vital signs, and assist with exam prep.
• Document data in IDX/PACS and maintain confidentiality.
• Coordinate CT oral contrast timing and patient flow.
• Maintain imaging room cleanliness and supply levels.
