Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a part-time Diagnostic Imaging Assistant to support patient screening, preparation, and data entry across MRI and other imaging modalities. Role involves direct patient care, workflow coordination, and ensuring accurate documentation in IDX/PACS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: Completion of a CNA program or patient care training.
• Preferred: Current enrollment in an accredited Radiology program.
• Preferred: Coursework in medical terminology and computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients and gather demographic/clinical information.
• Prepare patients for imaging exams and assist with positioning.
• Enter patient data into IDX/PACS and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain imaging rooms, stock supplies, and support department operations.
• Deliver excellent customer service and coordinate patient flow.
• Participate in mandatory training and professional development.
