Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• IV insertion proficiency preferred by site.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for safe and effective delivery of patient care under the direction of the technologist.
• Assists in preparing the patient for the exam and is sensitive to their needs while in their care.
• Assists patients on and off procedure tables and to and from procedure rooms.
• Oversees coordination of patient care.
• Coordinates care and communicates information to other providers after the procedure.
• Transports patients to and from the Imaging department safely.
• May perform IV insertion upon competency.
