Job summary

Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana is seeking a Radiology Tech Aide. The role supports imaging staff, prepares patients for exams, and helps ensure comfort and safety throughout procedures.

This PRN position provides vital frontline support in a fast-paced imaging department. Responsibilities include assisting with patient transport, preparing rooms, coordinating care, and, when competent, IV insertion.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• BLS certification required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• IV insertion proficiency - as required by site.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for safe and effective delivery of patient care under the direction of the technologist.
• Assists in preparing the patient for the exam and is sensitive to their needs while in their care.
• Assists patients on and off procedure tables and to and from procedure rooms.
• Assists and/or oversees coordination of patient care.
• Coordinates patient care and communicates pertinent information to other patient care providers following procedure.
• Routinely inspects transport equipment and notifies appropriate personnel when repair is necessary.
• Transports patients to and from the Imaging department, while ensuring their comfort and safety.
• May perform IV insertion upon competency and skill pass off.
