Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a student worker to join the Interventional Radiology Tech team. Under direct supervision of a licensed radiologic technologist, you will assist in high-quality radiographic, sonographic, or nuclear medicine exams and help ensure patient comfort.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms, transporting patients, stocking supplies, and following hospital policy. The role may require weekday evenings and weekend shifts; CPR-BLS is required for hire.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in accredited School of Radiation Sciences.
• CPR-BLS certification required for hire.
• Previous clinical work in acute/trauma settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in high-quality radiographic, sonographic, or nuclear medicine exams under supervision.
• Prepare imaging rooms and position patients for examinations.
• Direct patients to imaging rooms and provide emotional support as needed.
• Transport patients and stock/obtain supplies as directed by supervisor.
• Follow hospital and radiology policies and procedures.
