Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems is seeking a student worker to join the Interventional Radiology Tech team in Richmond. You will assist in high quality radiographic, sonographic, or nuclear medicine exams under the direct supervision of a registered radiologic technologist, sonographer, or nuclear medicine technologist.

Weekday evenings and all weekend shifts may be required. CPR-BLS certification is required for continued employment, and enrollment in an accredited School of

Qualifications

• Enrollment in accredited School of Radiation Sciences, Sonography, or Nuclear Medicine Program.
• CPR-BLS certification required for continued employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing high quality radiographic, sonographic, or nuclear medicine exams under supervision of a registered radiologic technologist, sonographer, or nuclear medicine technologist.
• Provide patient care and emotional support, following hospital policies.
• Initiates request for patient transportation and directs patients to imaging rooms.
• Stocks and/or obtains supplies as directed.

Education

Current student in an accredited School of Radiation Sciences.
