Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to support the Interventional Radiologist during procedures and ensure high-quality patient care in a busy department. You will prepare the patient and room, manage imaging systems (including fluoroscopy), and uphold radiation safety, sterile technique, and excellent teamwork under pressure.

Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, plus the ability to troubleshoot advanced imaging equipment, will help you

Qualifications

• Graduation from a hospital-based or college-based radiology program.
• Washington State Certification for Radiologic Technologist and ARRT registration.
• Current certification in Vascular Interventional Radiology or completion within 1 year of hire; CPR validation.
• Completion of 24 Category A CE within 2 years.
• Critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with highly technical equipment and sterile technique; hemostasis after catheter removal.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Interventional Radiologist during radiographic interventional procedures and support department operations.
• Prepare patients and the procedure room; ensure equipment, imaging systems, and supplies are ready and functioning.
• Operate imaging modalities including fluoroscopy; provide real-time technical support to the physician.
• Demonstrate strong anatomy/physiology knowledge and radiation safety practices; collaborate with the multidisciplinary team in high-pressure situations.
