Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking an experienced Scheduling Clerk to support daily radiology appointment operations. You will act as the central contact for add-on procedures, coordinate between referring physicians and radiologists, and keep patients on track with reschedules.

The role requires at least a GED and two years of administrative experience; imaging scheduling experience is preferred. BCLS certification is a plus, and you will work within our hospital scheduling system to ensure

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Optimizes daily all modality schedules by being the central point of contact for all add on procedures.
• Facilitates communications between referring physicians and radiologists.
• Follows-up with patient to reschedule appointments for those who do not show or cancel appointments.
• Operates and utilizes the Scheduler Program in the hospital scheduling system
• Proactively identifies open timeslots and contacts patients and referrers to backfill slots.
• Builds relationships with referring offices to become central point of contact for immediate appointment availability.
• Fields referrers' special requests for reports, unique protocols, follow-up, etc.
• Central contact for any technical recalls requested by the radiologist.
