Job summary

Northfield Hospital + Clinics is seeking an Imaging Support Specialist to provide scheduling coordination and administrative support for the Diagnostic department. You will communicate with patients, providers and outside services to ensure orders, patient history and authorizations are obtained for all imaging exams.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, order processing, prior authorizations, and ensuring accurate records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Solid computer skills.
• Medical terminology preferred.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Professional demeanor.
• Ability to set priorities and work independently as well as in a team.
• Ability to receive and carry out directions.

Responsibilities

• Schedules tests, procedures, and appointments.
• Prepares and maintains an accurate clinical department records.
• Organizes the daily schedule for patient testing.
• Handles department communications, greeting patients and visitors, and telephone communications.
• Communicates with patient care team members to facilitate the exchange of information to plan for patient care services.
• Orient, train and mentor new employees.
