Northfield Hospital + Clinics is seeking an Imaging Support Specialist to provide scheduling coordination, patient preparation, and administrative support for diagnostic imaging services. You will communicate with patients, providers, and external services to obtain orders, history, and authorizations, and assist in preparing images and records for transfer.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently to ensure safe and effective communication in a healthcare environment.
• 2 to 5 years of complex clinical scheduling experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and coordinates scheduling for imaging exams and procedures across multiple modalities.
• Communicates with patients, providers, and outside services to obtain orders, patient history, and authorizations.
• Prepares orders, prior authorizations, and prepares images for transfer; maintains records and files.
• Obtains prior authorizations in a timely manner across programs and information systems.
• Supports department communications, greets patients and visitors, and handles phone and electronic communications.
• Trains and mentors new employees.
