Job summary

Prime Healthcare Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking a Centralized Scheduler for the Medical Imaging department. The role schedules and registers patients for imaging studies, coordinates with departments, and ensures accurate demographics and insurance authorizations are captured.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of multiple insurance authorization requirements.
• 1-2 years hospital experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet timelines.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and registers patients for imaging tests/procedures.
• Coordinates with departments to prepare for services and ensures needed resources.
• Enters accurate patient demographics, insurance and authorizations in the system.
• Notifies relevant departments when services require external vendor equipment or supplies.
