Job summary

Pscfl is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to operate x-ray equipment, ensure patient safety, and maintain high-quality diagnostic images. You will follow radiation safety guidelines and state regulations while preparing patients and rooms for examinations.

The ideal candidate will hold Florida licensure, ARRT certification, and BLS, with strong communication and teamwork skills to support physicians, patients, and families in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Florida general x-ray license in good standing.
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate portable and stationary x-ray equipment.
• Prepare examination rooms, equipment, supplies, and medications.
• Provide patient comfort and safety during examinations.
• Utilize dose reduction techniques to minimize patient exposure.
• Document time, KVp and mAS in Cerner for each exam.
• Adjust equipment and positioning for correct technique.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and hospital staff.
• Follow patient-identification policies prior to examinations.
• Enter and transmit patient information into PACS after examinations.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and stock room supplies.
• Troubleshoot equipment and report malfunctions as needed.
