Job summary

Qualifications

• State of Florida general x-ray license required and active during employment.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• CPI certification required within 180 days of hire.
• ARRT certification for Radiologic Technologist required.

Responsibilities

• Adjusts equipment, determines technique, and positions patients.
• Communicates with hospital staff, physicians, and patients.
• Follows patient identification policy prior to examination.
• Communicates results to supervisor after examination.
• Observes radiation safety at all times.
• Performs radiologic examinations as ordered.
• Prepares patient and room for examination.
• Produces high-quality radiographs and repeats views if necessary.
• Enters patient data into PACS after examination.
• Reports equipment problems to the appropriate person.
• Provides supervision and CPI strategies for behavioral health patients.
