Job summary

Southcoast Health seeks a Patient Access Rep-Imaging in Fall River, MA. This role supports the Breast Center with 32 hours flexible to 40 hours, day/evening shifts, and weekend/holiday rotation.

Responsibilities include imaging access, registration, scheduling, and front-desk duties to ensure accurate billing and patient flow. Qualifications include an Associates Degree (or equivalent) and Medical Terminology certification preferred, with strong customer service, computer and EMR skills.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree + specialized training (film library) or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Medical Terminology Certificate desired.
• Excellent customer service, telephone skills and etiquette required.
• Strong computer skills including proficiency with medical based programs.
• Experience with electronic medical records, hospital patient registration systems, business office machines, and handling cash.
• Prior work experience in a hospital or medical office setting in patient access, patient accounts or customer service preferred.
• Microsoft Office desired.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform patient access duties to facilitate billing and reimbursement.
• Transcribe orders, schedule appointments, and perform advanced registration functions.
• Collect co-pays and maintain work lists/work queues.
• Perform reception duties including image access as part of the film library.
