Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative-Imaging in Fall River, MA at the Breast Center. This role supports scheduling, registration, co-pay collection and access duties to ensure accurate billing and timely reimbursement.

Responsibilities include transcribing orders, coordinating appointments, and managing imaging film library access. Associates degree plus radiology experience preferred; vaccination required unless exempt.

Qualifications

• Associates degree plus specialized training (film library) or equivalent knowledge/experience.
• Medical Terminology Certificate desired.
• Excellent customer service, telephone skills and etiquette.
• Strong computer skills including proficiency with medical-based programs.
• Experience with electronic medical records, hospital patient registration systems, business office machines, and cash handling.
• Prior hospital/medical office experience in patient access, patient accounts, or customer service preferred.
• Microsoft Office desired.
• Over three years related health care experience preferred concentrating in radiology.
• Must be vaccinated against influenza and COVID-19 or have an exemption by signing a statement.

Responsibilities

• Perform all patient access duties to facilitate appropriate billing and optimal reimbursement.
• Transcribe orders, schedule appointments, advanced registration, co-pay collection, and maintain work lists/work queues.
• Perform reception duties including image access functions as part of the film library.
