Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Patient Access Rep-Imaging in New Bedford, MA. The role supports transcribing orders, scheduling, advanced registration, co-pay collection, and image access within the film library.

Hours are 24 to 32 per week with a day shift; location at St. Luke's Hospital. The hospital emphasizes well-being, competitive benefits, and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree plus additional specialized training (film library) or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Medical Terminology Certificate desired.
• Strong computer skills including proficiency with medical based programs.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe orders, schedule appointments, advanced registration functions, co-pay collection and maintain work lists and work queues.
• Perform a wide variety of reception duties including image access functions as part of the film library.
• Support patient access duties to facilitate billing and reimbursement in accordance with external regulations.
