Job summary

Intelas, a Compass Healthcare Company, seeks a skilled BMET to perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, safety inspections, and major repairs on imaging equipment. The role includes on-call duties and collaboration with manufacturers and operators to resolve complex issues.

The position emphasizes QA documentation, parts sourcing, and cross-training of BMET staff, supporting hospital uptime and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Associates degree or military training in electronics/imaging required or preferred.
Five+ years experience with imaging equipment manufacturers or related experience.
Minimum five years in radiology equipment repair and biomedical field experience.

Responsibilities

Perform planned preventive maintenance, calibrations and electrical safety inspections on imaging equipment per standards.
Perform major repairs by replacing defective components and readjustting to manufacturer specs.
Assist with diagnostic imaging cross-training of BMET Technicians.
Coordinate with manufacturers and operators to resolve equipment issues.
Provide emergency on-call responsibilities.
Research and order repair parts within budget constraints.
Maintain QA records and reports for compliance.
