Job summary

Intelas, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring a BMET II to perform planned maintenance and safety inspections on patient care equipment across a broad range of devices. You will manage equipment schedules, conduct pre-acceptance inspections, calibrate test equipment, and respond quickly to clinical issues.

You will also train staff, order parts, and maintain records in a collaborative team setting. Qualified candidates typically hold an associate degree in electronics/biomedical equipment

Qualifications

• Associates degree or military training in electronics/biomedical equipment technology.
• Ability to work independently with some supervision.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Good organization and time management.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and read service histories.

Responsibilities

• Performs planned maintenance and electrical safety inspections on patient care and support equipment according to standards.
• Manages all assigned equipment and schedules service.
• Performs pre‑acceptance inspections and develops PM procedures.
• Ensures test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
• Responds to clinical calls to evaluate and rectify issues.
• Researches and orders parts within budget parameters.
• Maintains PO logs and validates invoices for payment (field staff).
• Provides informal training to users and staff as needed.
• Collaborates with department to improve service strategies and stays informed of updates.
