Job summary

Intelas, a Compass One Healthcare company, seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician to maintain and repair imaging and related medical equipment across healthcare sites. You will perform planned preventive maintenance, calibrations, safety inspections, on-call duties, and collaborate with manufacturers to resolve equipment issues.

This role emphasizes strong customer service, teamwork, and adherence to regulatory standards within the Compass Group USA.

Qualifications

Experience with radiology imaging equipment repairs.
Willingness to be on-call as required.
Ability to be a technical resource to others in areas of specialty or certification(s).
Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Perform planned preventive maintenance, calibrations where required, and electrical safety inspections on imaging equipment.
Perform major repairs by replacing defective components and readjust components per manufacturer specs.
Assist with diagnostic imaging cross training of BMET Technicians.
Coordinate with manufacturers and equipment operators to resolve equipment related problems.
Provide emergency on-call responsibilities.
Research and initiate orders for repair parts within budget parameters.
Document all significant asset actions per department practices.
Must perform all duties of a BMET III.
