Job summary

Intelas, a Compass Healthcare company, is seeking a BMET Technician to maintain and repair imaging equipment across sites. The role involves preventive maintenance, repairs, and on-call coverage to ensure peak uptime and patient care support.

Qualified candidates have an Associates degree in Electronics/Imaging Technology or related field and at least five years of radiology equipment repair experience, with strong customer service and cross-training capabilities.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electronics/Imaging Technology, Biomedical Equipment Technology, or military training.
• At least five years of experience with imaging equipment manufacturers or related fields.
• Minimum five years of experience in repair of radiology equipment and biomedical experience.
• Specialized knowledge in modalities such as radiology, MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, CT, cath. lab., linear accelerators, etc.
• CRES certification in modalities is preferred.
• Good communication and strong customer service skills.
• Willingness to serve on-call duty as required.
• Be willing to act as a technical resource to others in areas of specialty or certification(s).

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive maintenance, calibrations where certification may be required and electrical safety inspections on imaging and related equipment in compliance with established standards
• Perform major repairs by replacing defective components, readjust components to manufacturer’s specifications using appropriate tools and measuring instruments.
• May require certification to complete repairs.
• Assist with diagnostic imaging cross training of BMET Technicians
• Confer with manufacturer’s representatives and equipment operators to resolve equipment-related problems
• Provide emergency on-call responsibilities
• Research and initiate orders for repair parts within budget parameters
• Document all significant asset-related actions per department practices
• Must be capable of performing all duties of a BMET III
