Job summary

Homesteaders Life Company is seeking an Imaging Specialist to perform scanning, indexing, and mail distribution. You will collaborate with teams across departments and support customers and families served by the organization.

Responsibilities include preparing documents for scanning, operating the scanner, indexing data, and ensuring accurate records. Prior office experience and MS Office skills are required; benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• 1+ years in an office environment preferred.
• 10-key and alpha data-entry skills with emphasis on accuracy.
• Proficiency in Excel, Outlook and Word.

Responsibilities

• Prepare documents for scanning and indexing with required barcodes.
• Process incoming mail and distribute to scanner area and other departments.
• Operate scanner and digitize documents into workflow.
• Index scanned documents by 10-key and alpha, filling main index numbers.
• Perform quality control for legibility, counts, and index data.
• Assist in locating documents and provide general office support.
• Research and reseal returned mail as needed.
