Job summary

Patterson Pope in Charlotte, NC is seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to support high-volume document processing. You will prep, scan, index, validate, and assemble records with accuracy, speed, and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities include meeting hourly data entry goals, preparing documents for scanning, maintaining equipment, and working with Word, Excel, and database software. Some travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to travel for project-based work is a plus.
• Must work 40+ hours per week, including some weekends/holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Ability to learn multiple data entry projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to HIPAA standards and guidelines.
• Perform high-volume data entry with accuracy and speed.
• Meet hourly data entry goals and production standards.
• Prepare documents for scanning and indexing; remove bindings, unfold corners, and align pages.
• Maintain machine performance and report equipment issues.
