AdventHealth in Orlando is seeking a scheduling leader to oversee the intake team responsible for imaging appointment scheduling, benefits verification, and pre-authorization. You will manage specialized procedures and work closely with physicians to ensure timely patient care.

The role requires strong communication, scheduling experience, and healthcare financial services knowledge to deliver high-quality patient experiences and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Windows and MS Office.
• Understanding of health insurance authorization processes.
• Familiarity with radiologic procedures and terminology.
• Scheduling experience in healthcare.
• Healthcare financial services experience.

Responsibilities

• Inform physicians of scheduling conflicts and additional availability to expedite patient appointments.
• Provide leadership over the intake team responsible for scheduling, verification of benefits, pre-authorization, and pre-certification of imaging exams.
• Escalate operational issues to management promptly and work with offices on process issues.
• Supervise intake team members, guiding training and performance, and serve as imaging terminology knowledge leader.
• Schedule specialized procedures (MRI/CT with anesthesia alternatives, IV sedation, pre-surgical stealth exams, Gamma Knife, UFE, Cardiac CT Angiography).
• Maintain relationships with referring offices to retain and grow business.
