Acute Home Healthcare in Orlando, FL is seeking a devoted Home Health Intake Coordinator to join our patient-centered team. You will process new referrals, obtain authorizations, schedule services, and ensure timely coordination of home healthcare for patients in need.

The ideal candidate has medical office experience, strong MS Office skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to communicate clearly with PCPs, insurers, clinicians, and patients while supporting a collaborative,

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• 2–3 years of doctor office administrative experience.

Responsibilities

• Process new referrals timely and courteous.
• Enter authorizations and schedules in system.
• Obtain re-authorizations for additional homecare services.
• Follow-up on requests from the PCP for services.
• Contact and receive authorizations from insurance companies.
• Contact clinicians to schedule services.
• Request home health orders from PCPs, hospitals, and specialists.
• Review charts for procedural accuracy and efficiency.
• Receive and forward faxes to correct departments.
• Confirm patients' PCPs.
• Assist patients with questions or concerns.
• Develop good working relationships with PCP staff and insurance companies.
• Availability to work on call on weekends.
