Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Assistant to support imaging services under supervision of the Diagnostic Radiology Manager. You will perform essential patient care tasks, assist with MRI/CT workflows, and ensure smooth department operations.

The role emphasizes patient-centered service, accurate data entry, and collaboration with radiology teams to deliver high-quality imaging experiences for diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred CNA or patient care training and enrollment in radiology program.
• Basic computer skills and terminology knowledge are advantageous.
• Experience in healthcare settings and HIPAA awareness preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification is beneficial with requirement to obtain if not held.

Responsibilities

• Screen and register patients, documenting demographics and clinical data.
• Prepare patients and assist with imaging exams and procedures.
• Enter data into EMR systems and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Support patient flow and coordinating exam preparation and equipment.
• Maintain imaging rooms, stock supplies, and ensure clean environments.
