Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking an Imaging Assistant for Diagnostic Imaging to support MR and CT imaging workflows. You will screen patients, collect demographics, and assist technologists while ensuring a safe, patient-centered experience.

This role involves patient preparation, documentation in EMR systems, and collaboration with imaging teams. Ideal candidates have strong communication, basic clinical skills, and are enrolled in a Radiology program or CNA training.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• One to two years of relevant patient care experience preferred, including current enrollment in Radiology program.
• Completion of CNA or patient care training preferred.
• Enrollment in an accredited Radiology program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients and support registration processes.
• Prepare patients and assist with imaging procedures.
• Document patient demographics and clinical information into EMR (IDX/PACS).
• Maintain patient flow and support department operations.
• Coordinate supplies and assist with exam preparation and scheduling.
