Job summary

Yale New Haven Health in Connecticut is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Assistant to support patient care and imaging operations within the radiology department. You will screen patients, register information, prepare patients for exams, and assist with equipment setup and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred CNA program or patient care training.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited Radiology program.
• Coursework in medical terminology and computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients, gather demographic and clinical information.
• Register patients and communicate findings to technologists.
• Prepare patients for imaging exams and assist with positioning.
• Coordinate oral contrast for CT locations and exam prep.
• Enter data into electronic systems (IDX/PACS) and maintain confidentiality.
• Support patient flow and provide exceptional customer service.
