Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Basic knowledge of principles of CPT and ICD9 coding.
• Understanding of Medicare billing requirements for diagnostic tests.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients, collect demographics, insurance and billing information.
• Assist patients with billing and insurance needs; provide pre-billing services and estimates.
• Place orders for imaging services with clear documentation and appropriate ICD-9 coding.
• Provide telephone reception and scheduling support to maintain on-time appointments.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist technologists and radiologists as needed.
