Job summary

Brainlab is seeking a field-based Support professional to perform on-site clinical evaluations and provide expert guidance to physicians and OR staff on image-guided surgery (IGS) products and services. The role includes installations, education, and ongoing customer liaison with a strong focus on service contracts and parts upgrades.

The position requires a biomedical engineering or related degree, 6 months healthcare tech support experience, and up to 50% regional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, Biomedical Innovation, Bioengineering, Clinical Engineering, or Nursing.
• 6 months experience in a technical support role for a healthcare company or provider.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% regionally (50% travel).

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site clinical evaluations to demonstrate products and services for image-guided surgery (IGS).
• Provide on-site consulting and assistance to physicians and OR personnel to maximize IGS efficiency and usage.
• Lead installations and educate/train physicians and hospital staff on IGS products and services.
• Contribute to product quality improvements through engineering insights.
• Maintain regular contact with customers, pursue service contract, spare parts, and upgrades opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Account Manager to evaluate regional customer opportunities and sales projects.
• Resolve product issues through detailed analysis and engineering input.
• Promote surgery products and services to surgeons at trade shows.
