Manage office records in paper and electronic format, including, but not limited to, gathering, organizing, processing, and indexing
Analyze records to identify classification level, including portion markings and declassification instructions
Ensure appropriate handling and control of National Security Information
Recognize intelligence information and demonstrate understanding of document markings
Properly handle boxes and documents (boxes can weigh between 15-25 lbs.) and ensure integrity of each and every box remains intact
Develop production summaries and reports and maintain and update log sheets for converted images and metadata captured
Perform capture of metadata and other required indexing information
Provide support for any required general administrative office functions
Conduct quality assurance analysis on all scanning, indexing, and data entry work performed ensuring accurate capture of material, document level splits of records, and records disposition schedule application
Research and monitor current trends, best practices, and developments in the information management industry
Recommend strategies and participate in agency planning, goal setting, and development of applicable policies
Ensure records creation, maintenance, use, and disposition are in accordance with federal guidelines
Conduct records inventories of hardcopy and electronic records as well as for information systems/databases
Work independently to identify and create solutions for issues surrounding program and personnel management
Provide recommendations on records formats, uniform naming conventions, and storage methods
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management related field (History, Political Science, Government Affairs) or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Ability to communicate effectively – both orally and in writing
Excellent customer service skills to adequately handle the needs of government program managers and their SMEs
Demonstrate strong analytical skills, reading comprehension, and attention to detail
Ability to work with little to no supervision
Experience quality control checks and document control procedures of classified material
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat
The salary for this role is $70,000 annually.
