Job summary

Constellation Energy is seeking Initial License Trainees to train as Senior Reactor Operators for the Quad Cities Nuclear Station, Cordova, IL. The program leads to NRC-licensed supervision of licensed reactor operators in the control room.

Participants will undergo classroom, on-the-job, and exam-based training, progressing to supervise operations and outage activities with possibility of relocation assistance under policy terms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year Reactor Operator license at a comparable facility or 1.5 years at a noncomparable facility.
• 1.5 years or more in a position equivalent to Reactor Operator or Supervisor at a military reactor.
• Degree from a 4-year program in engineering or related field, plus relevant experience.
• Current or previous SRO Instructor certification with 4 years at a comparable facility or 6 years at a non-comparable facility.
• Maintain minimum access requirements and pass medical exams as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Attend Initial License Training (ILT) with classroom and on-the-job components.
• Complete all training phases to obtain an SRO license and perform duties of an Operations Shift Supervisor.
• Support outage activities and provide coverage as needed.
