Overview:

We are seeking an experienced IFS Project Manager for a critical project rescue engagement. This role is ideal for a contract professional with deep experience in IFS ERP implementations—particularly in high-stakes recovery environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering or construction, ensuring a deep understanding of operational challenges on the ground.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the turnaround of a struggling IFS Cloud (or IFS Applications) implementation project.
• Reassess current project scope, budget, timeline, and stakeholder alignment.
• Redefine project milestones, governance frameworks, and success metrics.
• Engage directly with executive sponsors, technical leads, and business process owners.
• Manage remote project delivery teams and third-party partners.
• Identify critical gaps and implement corrective actions for schedule and scope control.
• Coordinate IFS functional and technical streams: Finance, Supply Chain, Projects, Maintenance, etc.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop recovery strategies to de-risk future delivery.
• Ensure change management, training, and communication plans are executed effectively.

Required Experience:

• Proven track record delivering or rescuing IFS ERP projects (IFS Cloud preferred).
• 8+ years of ERP project management experience.
• Experience with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or construction projects is mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional remote teams and manage senior stakeholders.
• Familiarity with project portfolio governance and project rescue best practices.
• Strong understanding of relevant IFS modules: Projects, Manufacturing, Asset Management, and Field Service.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Prior experience working with IFS Partners or internal IFS support teams.

Contract Terms:

• Location: 100% Remote (USA-based candidates only)
• Compensation: Competitive daily/hourly rate (commensurate with experience)
• Travel: Occasional travel may be required (expenses covered)
