Job summary

Catapult Learning is hiring a part-time, in-person Student Support Coordinator in Manhattan, NY for the 2026-2027 school year. The role pays $65/hour and focuses on guiding the special education process from referral through service implementation.

You will partner with schools, administrators, principals, and teachers to support students, analyze data, and identify interventions, delivering model lessons and coaching to improve classroom instruction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's in education or related field preferred.
• At least three years of experience as a Special Education teacher or similar role.
• Experience in leadership and teacher coaching.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, OneDrive, and Zoom.

Responsibilities

• Navigate the IEP process from initial referral to service implementation.
• Partner with schools to guide strategic decisions and improve student outcomes.
• Provide quick, efficient support for students in the classroom.
• Collaborate with regional personnel, building principals, and teachers to support students.
• Assist administrators in using data, assessments, and analysis to identify students who need academic interventions or specialized services.
• Provide leadership, support, and assistance to classroom teachers for skillful instruction.
• Conduct model lessons, classroom observations, and provide next step support for teachers.
• Serve as a resource in identifying appropriate instructional strategies and interventions to improve student achievement.
• Maintain documentation of work with teachers using Catapult Learning's proprietary system.
