Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of educationally relevant disabilities and their impact on learning.
• Knowledge of differentiated and specially designed instruction, assessment practices, and positive behavior supports.
• Ability to implement IEP goals, accommodations, modifications, services, and progress-monitoring requirements.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple instructional, documentation, meeting, and compliance responsibilities.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, and to demonstrate active listening.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and evaluate specially designed instruction for students with disabilities.
• Develop, implement, monitor, and update IEPs.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records related to student progress and services.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related-service providers, and families.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and programming.
