Job summary

Sioux Falls School District is seeking an IEP Facilitator at Washington High School in Sioux Falls, SD. This role focuses on managing IEP data, drafting IEPs, and coordinating parent input to support student goals.

The position requires at least two years post high school education and one year of experience with students with disabilities. Monday–Friday schedule, 1.0 FTE, 9 months, with benefits for full-time status.

Qualifications

• Two years post high school education; district experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• At least one year of work experience with interpersonal interaction and knowledge of programming for students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Enters and maintains banks of student objectives and information for computerized IEP databases.
• Provides teachers with draft IEPs, based on teacher checklist.
• Elicits parent input for IEPs or evaluations.
• Contacts parents to schedule IEP meetings and conferences.
• Completes and mails parent notices, with teacher input and principal signature.
• Disseminates and collects classroom teacher forms for IEPs.
• Routes and disseminates progress checks to be completed by teachers.
• Maintains building database of student IEP and evaluation dates.
• Monitors IEP and evaluation due dates, suspensions, transition dates, and paperwork completion.
• Routes and maintains all paperwork required for compliance with regulations.
• Participates in all compliance and computerized IEP training.
• Serves as a building resource in using and updating IEP software.
• Maintain the confidentiality of students and their families.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
