Job summary

Sioux Falls School District seeks an IEP Facilitator for Axtell Park's alternative program to support students with diverse needs. This 1.0 FTE, 9-month position focuses on IEP data entry, drafting teacher checklists, and coordinating parent input and meetings.

You will work with teachers, maintain confidential records, monitor due dates, and ensure compliance with district regulations. Starting pay is $23.62 per hour; benefits apply for 20+ hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Two years of post-high school education; district experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement.
• At least one year of work experience involving interpersonal interaction skills and knowledge of programming for students with disabilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; computer proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with others and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Enters and maintains banks of student objectives and information for computerized IEP databases.
• Provides teachers with draft IEPs based on teacher checklist.
• Elicits parent input for IEPs or evaluations.
• Contacts parents to schedule IEP meetings and conferences.
• Completes and mails parent notices with teacher input and principal signature.
• Disseminates and collects classroom teacher forms needed for IEPs to classroom teachers.
• Routes and disseminates quarterly and annual progress checks to be completed by teachers.
• Maintains building database of student IEP and evaluation dates.
• Monitors IEP and evaluation due dates, suspensions, and transfer of rights paperwork.
• Routes and maintains all paperwork required for compliance with regulations.
