Job summary

Okta, Inc. is seeking an Associate Solutions Engineer to help customers securely connect people to technology. You will support the sales process with technical discovery, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts, working with Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering to deliver IAM expertise.

You’ll build and customize demos using JavaScript and Python, explain complex concepts in business terms, and assist with RFPs/RFIs while collaborating with Product and Engineering to improve offerings.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional experience in a technical, customer-facing, or pre-sales role.
• Hands-on development experience with JavaScript and/or Python.
• Experience working directly with customers (e.g., technical support, implementation, consulting, or sales engineering).
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to support technical discovery, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts.
• Demonstrate identity solutions including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and lifecycle management.
• Build and customize demo applications and integrations using JavaScript and Python.
• Help customers evaluate and implement identity solutions, including integrations with APIs and third-party services.
• Translate complex identity and security concepts into clear, business-focused messaging.
• Support RFPs/RFIs and respond to technical questions during the sales cycle.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to relay customer feedback and improve offerings.
