Job summary

KIPP DC seeks a Middle School Special Education Teacher (26-27 SY) to deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction at a Washington, DC campus. You will collaborate with teams to support student growth and well-being, build an affirming classroom culture, and communicate regularly with families.

The role emphasizes inclusive practices, IEP support, and participation in school leadership and professional development.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; commitment to serving communities with limited access to educational opportunities.
At least one year of teaching experience in a PreK3–12th grade school or residency with full classroom responsibility.
Strong communication with families and caregivers; experience collaborating with teams.
Experience teaching in urban K–12 public schools is preferred.
Content-area expertise in the role’s subject is a plus.
