Job summary

The starting salary is $65,500, increasing with Lead Teacher experience and graduate education, as outlined in the district's instructional salary scale. This is a fully in-person position located on-site at a DC campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; at least 1 year of teaching experience.
• Commitment to working with students from communities with limited access to high-quality educational opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Teach standards-aligned lessons across middle school content areas.
• Foster an inclusive, identity-affirming classroom culture with strong relationships to students and families.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams to plan instruction, analyze data, and respond to student needs.
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress and supports.
